LA DACTYLO
La Dactylo
Born in 1991 in Paris
Lives and works in Paris
La Dactylo practises urban art by stenciling and spray-painting her aphorisms in black or coloured letters, always in capital letters, on the streets of Paris and other French cities, considering that the street ‘is an open-air museum'. She also regularly posts her inscriptions on Instagram. She tackles all subjects, talking ‘about love one day, death the next, and politics the day after'. Alongside her creative work, she is a press photographer.
La Dactylo said: ‘Aphorism is the art of brevity. It is the uppercut of style. It strikes, challenges, intrudes into the mind, sows doubt, generates reflection or awareness.'
