Gaël Davrinche
Born in 1971 in Saint-Mandé
Lives and works in Paris and Roubaix
Gaël Davrinche graduated from the Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2000.
Since the early 2000s, Gaël Davrinche has been revisiting masterpieces from throughout art history in his paintings, drawings, and prints, moving between tradition and deconstruction in his “search for the essence of painting.” Focusing on “the expansion of colors,” he has created series of portraits, self-portraits, still lifes (particularly of flowers), and landscapes, most often in large format. Since 2024, his poetic compositions have tended toward abstraction and the expression of emotions. He exhibits regularly in Europe and Asia.
Gaël Davrinche said: “Painting is about experiencing something extraordinary every day. That's what drove me to paint. Having no constraints. Painting is a journey of initiation, a journey of life.”
