Lives and works in Brussels
Éric Lambé studied fine arts at Saint-Luc in Brussels

Éric Lambé is a comic book artist and illustrator. In the early 1990s, he co-founded the group and magazines Mokka and Pelure amère. Since 1998, he has collaborated with Philippe de Pierpont, with whom he regularly creates albums. He has also illustrated books by Marie Desplechin. He creates poetic stories, “botanical comics,” draws characters in interiors, plays with shapes, geometries, and colors, constantly refining his work to get to the essence, seeking to convey the emotions conveyed by the stories. He received the Fauve d'Or award at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2017 and regularly exhibits his drawings.

Éric Lambé said: “What matters to me is first and foremost the emotion that the works produce. For me, the minimalist approach consists of filling everything with very little. It's a reduction to the essential.”
