Hervé DI ROSA
Born in 1959 in Sète
Lives and works between Paris, Sète and Lisbon
Hervé Di Rosa, a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, is co-founder of the Figuration Libre group. An avid fan of comic books, he draws inspiration for his paintings from popular culture, Urban Art and Pop Art. He embarked on a world tour in 1993, sharing the traditions and techniques of craftsmen. In 2000, he founded the Musée International des Arts Modestes (MIAM) in Sète. He took part in the Libres Figurations années 80 exhibition at the FHEL. In 2024, he will have a solo show at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and in 2025 the Mucem in Marseille will give him carte blanche.
