Loulou Picasso studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Loulou Picasso is a painter and graphic designer. In 1974, he was a founding member of the Bazooka collective, which created legendary works for the daily newspaper Libération and its periodical Bulletin and supplements, Un regard moderne and Sandwich, shaking up the codes of popular graphic representation and giving rise to a new type of press and publishing. As the graphic designer and layout artist for the collective's projects, he is recognised as one of the major figures in avant-garde and underground graphic design. From the late 1970s onwards, he collaborated regularly with agnès b., creating sets, T-shirts and posters. Since the 1980s, he has devoted himself mainly to painting and engraving. He paints mainly figures on canvas or paper, but also landscapes and architecture inspired by his travels, and engages with art history.
