Frank Miller is a comic book writer and artist, as well as a screenwriter and director of films that have become legendary. He began his career drawing comics and their superheroes, notably for Marvel. For the latter, he developed 42 episodes of the Daredevil series, which earned him critical acclaim for his renewal of the genre. The same is true of his reinterpretations of Batman for DC Comics. He says he has incorporated the influence of Japanese manga and Franco-Belgian comics into his style. His Sin City series led to two films, which he co-directed with Robert Rodriguez in 2005 and 2014 and for which he received four Eisner Awards. His creations, which show superheroes in a different light, are characterized by “fantastical stories in a disturbing world.”
Frank Miller said: “The greatest romance for me is Robin Hood: feelings, a hero who fights with a sword and lives great adventures. That's what I've always tried to do in my comics.”
