Thomas Lévy-Lasne, born in Paris in 1980, is a distinguished French contemporary painter recognized for his meticulous and highly detailed paintings that vividly depict everyday life. A former resident at the Villa Médicis (2018-2019), Lévy-Lasne has built a rich and diverse body of work spanning over two decades. His art revolves around a classical yet deeply personal style, addressing a broad spectrum of themes, from intimate daily scenes to pressing contemporary issues such as societal challenges and ecological crises. In 2024, he was awarded the prestigious Prix BNP Paribas Banque Privée at Art Paris, highlighting his influential role in the ongoing renewal of figurative painting in France. The artist hosts the youtube channel “Les apparences” which offers a dedicated platform to painters from the contemporary French art scene through in-depth interviews.
