In 2004, he returned to comic books and continues to write the texts that accompany his illustrated stories. He has received numerous awards, including the 2004 Töpffer Prize and the International Prize of the City of Geneva. His graphic style is characterized by clean shapes outlined with thick lines. He also paints, mainly figures and portraits.
Jean-Claude Götting said: "I believe that drawings that retain an element of mystery, whether in their composition, in what they represent, or in what they leave out of the frame, are the ones we tire of the least. There is always something unresolved.
